U2 is my personal favourite band. Here I'd like to share some U2 information with you.

U2 are a rock band from Dublin, Ireland. Started in 1976, U2 has been enormously succesful in both the United Kingdom and the United States. U2 have been known for their numerous acts of generosity and fundraising for humanitarian causes such as Make Poverty History, the ONE Campaign, Live Aid, Live 8, Bono's DATA (Debt, AIDS, Trade in Africa) campaign, and The Edge's Music Rising.

The band was formed by Larry Mullen Jr. when he placed a notice on his school notice board at the age of fourteen looking for anyone interested in starting a band. Of the seven people who responded, Adam Clayton, Paul Hewson (Bono), and Dave Evans (The Edge), along with Larry Mullen Jr. all formed U2. In 2004, 'Rolling Stone Magazine' ranked U2 #22 on their list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. In 2005, U2 were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the first year they were eligible.
